Neighbours

Neighbours

Fire in Ramsay Street

I am a great supporter of the TV programme Neighbours and I am a huge fan of the Andrew, Summer, and Tash love triangle. This fan fiction of neighbours was from two point of views, Summer and Andrew's point of views. The author of this fan fiction used first person narrative in both view points, which gives the opportunity for the reader to see how they would have seen the situation. The author's view point of Summer jumped from being with Andrew, to falling asleep and being alone in the fire. There was no suspense created for the reader so the part when the fire broke out kind of spoilt the flow of the storyline. I would suggest that the author keep the fire scene to Andrew's point of view so that the story can flow much better and that both and Andrew and Summer can be in the fire, not knowing who will survive. In doing so this will be much more of an anticipated wait to see what will happen.

Andrew's point of view on the other hand revealed him as more of a hero. This is a clear view on what happened on the actual episode of Neighbours. The author was able to incooperate the scene of the fire into her fan-fic which shows an apprecitation of the original storyline. The dialogue used between Andrew and Summer is a good way of showing the reader the relationship between these two characters, which in a way pulls the reader in to become more interested in their relationship also.
